What are the donated funds used for?
All proceeds
from this fundraising event will be used toward the abandoned, sick and
injured animals of the community and for our spay / neuter program.
We are a no-kill facility and 100% of all funds received
are used to aid the animals of Decatur & Macon County.

Day USA
What is Spay Day USA?
A
national campaign to promote spay/neuter
as a simple, humane and effective way to
end the tragedy of euthanizing homeless
pets.
Thousands of kittens and puppies are
born every hour in the United States.
While these baby animals are adorable,
the fate of most of them is tragic.
Spaying or neutering our pets and feral
cats is the most effective way to reduce
the vast numbers of animals who are born
only to die prematurely and without a
family who loves them.

On Tuesday February 27, 2007
the Humane Society of Decatur and Macon County in connection with local
vets spayed & neutered over 125 cats and dogs! We would like to
say thank you to all the hard work of all our wonderful area vets and
volunteers!
